Buenos Aires Atlantic Coast

The Province of Buenos Aires’ long stretch of Atlantic Coast is divided into thirty or so seaside resorts, which come to life during the summer. Wide sandy beaches back onto green shady forests and huge sand dunes. This is where the city folk flock in January and February and where there is subsequently a wide range of tourist facilities on offer.

Useful info

Mar del Plata is the biggest and most well known of the seaside cities for its vibrant social and cultural scene. It is followed by Necochea, Villa Gesell, San Bernardo and Pinamar.

Pinamar, Cariló and smaller resorts such as Mar de las Pampas and Valeria del Mar are the coast’s most exclusive spots. The laid back atmosphere makes them ideal places to relax. For those in search of adventure, this part of the coast is great for horse riding, cycling, paragliding, quad bikes, photo safaris and water sports.

Also worthy of note are the coastal golf clubs. These prestigious golf courses are famous for their design, beautiful settings and the quality of their turf.
