Ecotourism
Useful info
In such a huge and diverse country, conservation is paramount. The growth of tourism over the last few decades has inevitably had an effect on the environment. Through education and increased awareness about responsible tourism practices, we try to keep this impact to an absolute minimum.
The list of ecotourism experiences in Argentina is long: from whale-watching in the Valdés Peninsula in Northern Patagonia, to bird watching in the Esteros del Iberá - the unspoiled marshlands where crocodiles live alongside cabybara, marsh deer, butterflies and rare birds species; from nature safaris on an estancia in the Pampas, to eco-lodges in Iguazu’s subtropical rainforest. For those looking for a journey of self-discovery, there are spiritual tourism programs in Patagonia that aim to set your inner being free by connecting with nature.
Visitors can witness innovative responsible tourism projects first hand. Estancia Bodega Colomé in the Calchaquí Valleys, for example, is a biodynamic vineyard that produces the world’s highest altitude wine and is fully committed to the local community.
Whatever the format of ecotourism that you choose, your holiday will be more rewarding for it.
